ABA was founded and is directed by Michelle Wright. She is a teacher and choreographer who brings her passion, emotion, and love of life to the fine art of dance. Miss Michelle is a graduate of the High School of the Performing Arts in the heart of New York City. During her duration there she was awarded a two year scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School. Miss Michelle has also graduated with a BFA from the University of the Arts in 2000 receiving the Aleksei Judenic Ballet Prize. Following graduation Miss Michelle has been teaching for over 9 years and is the proud owner of ABA. Miss Michelle strives on the fundamentals of technique for beginner through advanced students. She incorporates modern and contemporary techniques to fulfill the needs of todays dancers.
Our goal at American Ballet Academy is to provide a professional and innovative environment where students of all ages can advance in the field of arts education. At ABA, we offer training in for both the student preparing for a professional career and those who study dance for its many other benefits. The performing arts have the power to evoke desire, inspiration, education, and enlightenment. American Ballet Academy welcomes those of all ages and experience, from beginner thru professional, and is open six days a week.
